Asperger’s Syndrome is a collection of symptoms that is at the highest functioning end of the Autism spectrum. It is a disorder that has recently been in popular media of late in the TV show, Parenthood, and in Jodi Picoult’s newest book, House Rules. Today, our in studio guest is Ruth Bass, an Asperger’s and Autism expert and speech pathologist from Newport Beach, CA. In this show, Ruth talks to Dr. Jill and Judge Pam about Asperger’s in children: how parents can look for signs of the disorder in their young children and importance of early diagnosis and effective treatments.
